Explore, question, understand
We cannot fully understand ourselves or other people and cultures without knowledge of religious diversity. Religion is an extraordinarily exciting way to study the world, to develop your ability to think about complicated issues, and to examine your own core principles and values.
Our flexible curriculum provides an array of courses developed by dedicated faculty experts. They examine religion from historical, ethical, philosophical, legal, artistic, and anthropological perspectives. Members of our faculty have won teaching awards and research grants, and students often observe that they were drawn to the department because of the high quality of the teaching and lively conversations in the classroom.
