Course Description

This course introduces students to the most important aspects of religious belief and practice in ancient Egypt (c. 3500 BCE to 500 CE), including mythology, ethics and wisdom, religious praxis, magic, personal piety, and the survival and revival of ancient Egyptian religion after the disappearance of Egypt’s own culture.
