Graduate student, Maggie Slaughter, recently spent time surveying the monastic settlement at Glendalough, at the base of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. The site features some of the best-preserved examples of 10th–12th century Irish architecture with roofed churches and a distinctive round tower.
