Engaging Religion, an online series about teaching religion at the Center for Religion & the Human, has some exciting new releases this Fall. Professor M. Adraeyl Tong asks “why study scripture at all?” with an amusing meditation on a Talmudic query about the “stairway to heaven.” In another essay, Professor Teren Sevea explores how the tomb of a miracle worker in Singapore helps to contest traditional binaries in the study of Islam in his essay “Keramat: Beyond Imagined Divisions”.
