The Theatre Without Borders research collective invited Sonia Velázquez to participate in their annual meeting, held June 28-July 1 in Strasbourg, France. Twenty scholars from the US and Europe met to discuss “Politics, Identities, Recognitions” and to discuss the pertinence of staging early modern theatre today. Prof. Velázquez shared her research on seventeenth-century Spanish popular theatre and religion.
