Rebecca Manring has been awarded a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Scholar Award to pursue fieldwork connected with the Dharma-mangala, a Middle Bengali epic she's been translating for Oxford University Press’s Texts and Translations series. The award will allow her to travel to West Bengal in two successive springs to observe the two-week festival in honor of the god Dharma and discuss it with participants.
