Engaging Religion is a project for public-facing scholarship on teaching religion. Essays and teaching modules offer insight, resources, and perspectives on the challenge of teaching religion to various publics.

A recent teaching module “Rastafari: Creative Rupture and Consciousness Raising” by Prof. Ennis Edmonds of Kenyon College was designed with the objective of engendering an understanding of Rastafari against the historical backdrop of colonialism and contemporary structures of the West. This pedagogical module is an excellent resource for anyone teaching about new religious movements, Black religion, African religious traditions, and religions of the diaspora.
