The winner of the 2022 Trustees Teaching Award in Religious Studies is Laura Carlson Hasler. During her three years at IU, Laura has co-led a “Teaching Religion in Public” seminar series, participated in a year-long teaching seminar sponsored by the Wabash Center, and developed three new courses from scratch, including “Text and Trauma” and “The Bible and Ethics: Love, Poverty, and War.” She also directed a master’s thesis and led a directed reading course on top of her regular teaching load.
