Each spring, the Department of Religious Studies offers awards to undergraduate students writing on topics associated with the study of religion. The Senior Honors Thesis Award was awarded to Ellis Azcona for her paper titled “Deaf God: Deaf Perspectives in Christianity.”
The Bill Gallagher Essay Contest invites essays dealing with issues pertinent to the study of religion. This year’s contest winners were Arika Aikin (1st place); Anna Wrasse (2nd place); and David Milhander (3rd place). The Gallagher Honors Thesis Award went to Ellis Azcona.
