J. Kameron Carter published two significant essays. The first, “The Excremental Sacred: A Paraliturgy,” appears as a chapter in Beyond Man: Race, Coloniality and the Philosophy of Religion, ed. An Yountae and Eleanor Craig (Duke UP, 2021). Carter also published “Mystic S/Zong!” in Political Theology on Edge: Ruptures of Justice and Belief in the Anthropocene (Fordham UP, 2021). These essays contribute to “black mysticism” and foreshadow a book that Professor Carter’s near completing.
