
Constance Furey, together with J. Kameron Carter welcomed a cohort of early career scholars for the first of three Luce-funded Being Human Institutes. Initially scheduled for summer 2020 and postponed for over a year because of COVID, the organizers took advantage of Bloomington’s seasonable weather to gather in person—mostly outside—for three days of reading poetry, watching films, sharing work, and walking and talking among the fall foliage.
