Nicolò Sassi gave a paper on late ancient Syriac mysticism at the Princeton international conference “Amassing Perspectives: Recent Trends in Syriac Iconography.” The paper, focused on the potential of figurative language to relate through words the otherwise incommunicable, will be published as a chapter in a forthcoming volume.
