Jeremy Schott recently returned from a research trip to the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana in Florence, Italy, where he was studying Byzantine manuscripts of several early Christian texts. Schott is studying the marginal notes made by Byzatine readers to understand how 9th and 10th century readers used their copies of early Christian literature. The project is funded in part by a New Frontiers in the Humanities Travel Grant.
