Lowe Joins Racial Justice and Religion Task Force

Wednesday, July 21, 2021

Rev. Amber Lowe has been selected as a member of the Racial Justice and Religion Commission launched by the Inclusive America Project. Amber joins the likes of Dr. Anthony Pinn and Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglass in a multi-faith group of “highly accomplished activists, faith leaders, organizers, scholars, and practitioners of racial justice to explore how religious pluralism and multi-faith coalition building in the United States can better contribute to the fight for racial justice.”

Lowe has just joined our graduate program. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi (BA in English and History) and the Interdenominational Theological Center (M.Div. in Theology). Located at the intersection of black studies and religious studies, Lowe’s research centers on Afrofuturism, Black Speculative Fiction, Phenomenology of Religion, Womanist Theology, and Myth.
