Maidah Khalid has been accepted to participate in the Cornell School of Criticism and Theory Summer Session. This is an intensive six-week course of study that assembles faculty members, graduate students and independent scholars from around the world. She will specifically participate in the seminar on Magic with Professor Matthew Engelke. The seminar focuses on the cultural history of magic: as an idea, as a practice, and as a tool with which to wield power and induce wonder.
