Nicolò Sassi received the Carl Ziegler Teaching Award from the Collins Living-Learning Center at Indiana University for his Spring 2021 course Medieval Imagination. A committee of students and faculty award one instructor per semester an award for excellence in teaching, based on student nominations.
Joe Decker received the Graduate Prize for Teaching Excellence from the Department of Religious Studies. This award was given to Joe because of his dedication to education and rigorous thinking, and that he approaches each class and each assignment and each grading requirement as an opportunity to enable students to learn, and to think, and to be more thoughtfully alive to the world.
