The Center for Religion & the Human’s pedagogy series Engaging Religion has officially launched this semester, featuring interdisciplinary perspectives on the difficulty of teaching, talking, and writing about religion. It showcases teaching modules fully equipped with helpful introductions, annotated bibliographies, and insightful dialogue. It hosts short essays grouped under previous workshops themes of Difficulty, Practice, and Failure explored by our pedagogy workshop “Teaching Religion in Public.” Ranging from the vantage points of Ethnomusicology, Gender Studies, Indigenous Studies, and even Birth Doulas, the resources offered by Engaging Religion collectively support and challenge what it means to talk or think religion in public.
