Brian Hillman (IU Ph.D. 2021) published a new piece titled “New Golems for the New Antisemitism” for Sightings, a University of Chicago Divinity School Martin Marty Center publication that explores how viewing the world through the lens of religion can help us make sense of developments in politics, art, business, and other fields. Hillman’s piece explores recent novels that have breathed new life into the Golem myth, celebrating Jewish identity and resilience while reimagining this legendary protector in the face of modern challenges.
