On October 30th, Prof. Sarah Imhoff gave the Smith-Chase Lecture at Elon University. The Religious Studies Department at Elon invited Imhoff to presented her research in a lecture entitled, “Can you hear the Shofar? Religion and Disability.” In addition to giving the lecture, Imhoff was welcomed as a guest teacher in the “Approaches to the Study of Religion” course. The visit was particularly meaningful because it was an opportunity to visit with Associate Professor Dr. Andrew Monteith, who received his PhD from the IU Religious Studies Department in 2018.
