Maggie Slaughter (Ph.D. 2024) recently wrote about the 45th anniversary of Canadian icon Terry Fox in relation to medieval saint, St. Peregrine, for Novalis Publishing, where she is acquisitions editor of English titles. This November, her translation of an Italian work by theologian and professor of theological aesthetics, Ermes Ronchi, will be published by Novalis. Ave Maria: La preghiera che allagra il cuore is a meditation on the Virgin Mary, chiefly on the prayers directly petitioning her. She is excited to plan the book launch of Dr. Mark McGowan & Dr. Eamonn McKee’s Fifty Irish Lives in Canada: 1667-2017 (Novalis, 2025) this winter.
