
Under the direction of IU’s First Nations Educational and Cultural Center, Michael Ing accompanied students and faculty to the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi’s Wild Rice Camp on the Pine Creek Indian Reservation in Michigan. Over the weekend of September 19-20, IU students and faculty learned from Potawatomi knowledge holders about the importance of wild rice, land stewardship, and other ecosystems of Native knowledge.
