Prof. Michael Ing hosted 10 scholars from Hawaiʻi and other parts of the world to workshop their papers for an edited volume titled Approaches to Hawaiʻi Philosophy on October 24-25, 2025. While there are many traditional Hawaiian knowledge holders and some Western philosophers who engage material from Hawaiʻi, this will be the first book to bring these groups together to think about developing an academic field of Hawaiʻi philosophy.
