Amber Lowe was inducted into the Society for the Study of Black Religion (SSBR) during its 2025 annual meeting in Montgomery, Alabama. Founded to promote rigorous scholarship and dialogue on the religious experiences of Black peoples, SSBR supports research, publication, and pedagogy in the field of Black religion. Lowe’s induction marks her continued engagement with a community of scholars committed to deepening and expanding the study of Black religious life and thought.
