Ten students from Indiana University, University of Virginia, Brown U, Georgetown and Northwestern met on March 28-29 as part of our Undergraduate Religious Studies Association (URSA) Symposium. Students shared their research on topics ranging from mysticism and neuroscience to the survival of the Armenian Church under the Soviet Regime. IU graduate students served as respondents, and Prof. Patrick Michelson gave the keynote lecture “Dead Monks Don’t Die: War, Veneration, and the Afterlife in Orthodox Russia.”
