Department of Religious Studies

Winnifred Fallers Sullivan will be retiring from the department at the end of this spring 2025 term. It is bittersweet news as Sullivan has been an integral part of IU Religious Studies since her appointment in 2012, but we look forward to her continued work in the field as a Visiting Scholar at the American Bar Foundation in Chicago for the 2025-26 academic year.

Sullivan is Provost Professor in the Department of Religious Studies, Affiliate Professor of Law at the Maurer School of Law, and the Director of the Center for Religion and the Human.
