On January 24th and 25th, Kanaka Hawaiʻi (Native Hawaiian) professor, Michael Ing, hosted a workshop affectionately known as Kanaka-CON that brought in eight Native Hawaiian scholars living on the continent to discuss the field of Hawaiian studies as done by scholars living outside of Hawaiʻi. The workshop coordinated with a week-long celebration of Pacific Island culture at IU known as “Party for the Pasifika.”
