Prof. Laura Carlson Hasler published an essay in a newly-published volume, Bibles in Popular Culture (Bloomsbury). Her article, “A Bad End for ‘Good’ Books? Scriptural Fantasies and Fears in The Good Place and Good Omens,” tracks the way Bibles are imagined, worried about, and ignored in recent television programs. The larger volume includes essays about bibles and biblical representations in Fleabag, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dr. Who and more.
