Aaron Stalnaker was an invited speaker at a November conference analyzing the impact of long-time IU Religious Studies Professor Richard Miller’s scholarship on the occasion of his retirement from the University of Chicago Divinity School faculty. Stalnaker’s talk was titled ”Relating Ethics and the Study of Religion: Alternative Possibilities.” Miller’s scholarship spanned a wide range of topics and themes, from the ethics of war and peace earlier in his career to his more recent reflection on the ends toward which the academic study of religion is ordered.
