The Center for Religion and the Human hosted the 2nd Annual Charles H. Long Memorial lecture which was delivered by Dr. Emilie M. Townes, the current Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Religion and Black Studies at Boston University’s School of Theology. The Long lectures, sponsored by the Center for Religion and the Human, honor the legacy of historian of religion Charles H. Long by inviting speakers who are innovating thinking, writing, and teaching about religion.
