Funded by a generous grant from the Henry Luce Foundation, Unstately Religions in Anti-Racist Struggles in the Americas” took place June 5th-7th at the University of the Andes in Bogota, Columbia. Professors Winnifred Sullivan and Constance Furey took part in the conference which aimed to investigate, from a comparative and multipolar perspective, the role of religions and spiritualities in the struggles for social, racial and environmental justice in the contemporary world, waged in everyday life and at a local level by communities in resistance and grassroots social organizations.
