Professor Kevin Jaques received a grant from OVPIA for a faculty exchange program at the University of Hamburg, Germany (HHU) for five weeks in June and July. Jaques worked with Maxim Romanov and his team of Digital Humanists in the Asia Africa Institute. The purpose of the trip was to develop digital methods for his Sīrah Defragmentation and Reconstruction (SDR) Project. Much of the trip was dedicated to discussions on how to build new hermeneutic methods appropriate for analysis of a single-author corpus.
