We are proud to announce our new inductees into Theta Alpha Kappa this year. Founded in 1976, this international academic honor society honors students in Religious Studies and Theology that maintain a 3.5 GPA in religious studies classes and a 3.0 GPA overall. Congratulations to the following students: Shelby Bond, Evan Cannon, Isabell Deem, Ella Eads, Luke Harris, Kyle Hohl, Matthew R. Phillips, Ella Woernle, Brendan Wolf, and Samantha Wolfe.
Each spring, the Department of Religious Studies offers the Bill Gallagher Essay Contest which invites essays from undergraduate students dealing with issues pertinent to the study of religion. This year’s awards were given to Margaret Ferguson (1st place), Ariel Tysver (2nd place), and Connor Rose (3rd place).
