On March 17, Laura Carlson Hasler presented a paper at the Midwest Regional Meeting for Biblical Studies at St. Mary’s College. The paper, titled “Thinking Against the Nations: Constructing Violence and ‘Others’ in Haggai, Malachi, and Zechariah,” offered new ways of thinking of biblical prophets as theorists of divinely-authored harm.
