Winnifred Fallers Sullivan contributed to the American Religion journal with her piece “An American Joan of Arc” which discusses an image of Joan of Arc made by prison artist Ray Materson. Materson embroiders pictures using thread taken from unraveling socks, creating beautiful tiny miniatures about 2” square.
