Doctoral candidates Mihee Kim-Kort and Josie Wenig were two of twenty-four scholars accepted into the 2023 Sacred Writes Public Scholarship Training. This three-month program aims to prepare scholars of religion and theology to translate and expand their expertise into new, public-facing forms. Kim-Kort is part of the Henry R. Luce Foundation funded cohort of scholars focused on “race, justice, and religion” in public scholarship. Wenig is part of the Carpenter Foundation funded cohort of scholars working at the intersections of religion, gender, and sexuality.
