How does one go about thinking practice? That is the question that motivates the French thinker Michel Certau (1925-1986), whose work combined historical inquiry, philosophy, theology, linguistics, and psychoanalysis. This term, the Center for Theoetical Inquiry in the Humanities discusses Volume One of Mystic Fable, de Certeau’s most personal and consequential work. Convened by Constance Furey and Sonia Velázquez.
The reading group usually meets Fridays, 2-3:30 pm, in Maxwell Hall 122, through April 28.
