Constance Furey contributed an afterword to a new volume, Varieties of Atheism, based on a conference organized by the editor, David Newheiser, and sponsored by the Institute for Religion & Critical Inquiry at Australian Catholic University. The collected essays in this volume show that, just as religion exceeds doctrine, atheism also encompasses every dimension of human life: from imagination and feeling to community and ethics.
