Teaching Religion in Public (TRiP) began their spring series on January 23. The series, titled “Things,” began by exploring the meaning of “touch” and its prohibitions in a religious context, centering their discussion around a short chapter from Jean-Luc Nancy’s Noli Me Tangere: On the Raising of the Body, “Mary of Magdala.” The group will be discussing objects from the IUMAA, the Kinsey Institute, and the Eskenazi as the semester continues.
