About Taylor
Taylor Thomas is graduating with an M.A. in Religious Studies. As a Masters student, she has worked closely with the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures and the Borns Jewish Studies program on her research into early 20th century Russian religion, literature, and philosophy. In 2018 and 2019, she traveled to the Russian Federation to carry out her research in Siberia and in the Russian State Archives of Literature and Arts in Moscow (which caught on fire while she was there). Taylor has served as the president of the Graduate Religious Studies Association and looks forward to her continued involvement with the department as she continues to work on her Ph.D. research here at IU after a summer studying Yiddish language and literature with the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York City.
