- Course Description
The religious landscape of Europe has been changing for centuries and the creation of the European Union has fostered a new set of challenges that continue to be affected by the religious pluralism of its constituent states. Understanding contemporary Europe requires an understanding of the role religion plays in current events. Religion touches every aspect of life across Europe—the arts, migration, politics and international cooperation, and more. This course will serve as an introduction to the study of religion seen through the lens of contemporary issues in Europe and the European Union.
