American Academy of Religion Annual Meeting

Saturday, November 20, 2021

The 2021 American Academy of Religion (AAR) will be hosting its Annual Meetings in San Antonio, Texas, November 20–23. The AAR staff will hold an in-person Annual Meeting in San Antonio along with offering a limited number of virtual sessions, too. The Presidential Theme for this year’s meeting, “Religion, Poverty, and Inequality: Contemplating Our Collective Futures” looks toward poverty and inequality, focusing particularly on the social, ideological and textual interpretations of various traditions that help us understand how religion aids, impedes and/or amends our common life.
